Rithu Audio Songs

Posted by Maddy on Sunday, July 26, 2009 , under , , , , , , , | comments (0)

Cast : Asif Ali, Rima
Director : Shyama Prasad
Producer: Vachen Shetty
Lyrics : Rafeeq Ahmed

Description:

Ritu tells the tale of three young friends who move through a fascinating season in their lives, different from the earlier one they really cherished. Seasons of life change. Friends change. You change.

So did Sarat Varma, Varsha John, and Sunny Immatty, while growing up together in love and their beautiful innocence. They were almost inseparable. Their love for each other was indivisible. Yet, a time came when the three of them stumble upon the truths about themselves. Suddenly, they can see themselves in a new light. In fright and pain, they ask themselves: are we really what we think we are?

On one level, it could be said that Ritu weaves in subtly the undertone of this misunderstanding, realisation. On another and a more visible level, it is about one big web of wishes, dreams, and desires the three young friends weave around themselves.

Ritu is a graceful and breezy story of the journey of the three young people into the wonders of life. Perhaps, you will someday, reflect upon yourself to check and see which one of them is you

EE Pattanathil Bootham Audio songs

Name : Pattanathil Bootham Aka Ee Pattanathil Bootham
Starring : Mamootty,Kavya Madhavan,Innocent,Rajan P Dev
Music : Shan Rehman
Director : Johny Antony
Producer : Benjamin
Lyrics : Girish Puthenchery

Description:

Johny Antony who has carved his own brand in Industry with colorful comedy entertainers, which are more appealable to children, is back with Megastar Mammootty.

Film’s story moves around like that of adventure tales in Balarama. Unlike the magazine which attracts children and elders, this film seems to maintain only the attention of kids.

An evil magician gets the power over a Bhootham. He plans to use it for his filthy activities. The sorcerer loses Bhootham in an accident and it gets into the hands of children in the circus tent. It was the time when a foul play has taken place over the ownership of this circus. Kavya arrives as the daughter of circus owner played by Janardhanan who gets killed. What follow is conflict between good and the evil.

Mammootty does a double act of Bhootham as well as Jimmy, the circus stunt man. Mammooty’s character Jimmy is eye candy while his second character won’t appeal much, mostly due to the childish voice which may get misidentified.

E Pattanathil Bhootham is Kavya Madhavan’s maiden film released after her marriage. Kavya has only a limited role in the film, though she plays an important character.

Animation done in film is visible to the eyes of every other viewer who are watching visual amusements round the clock. Story line, characters, situations are all predictable and it is ok for a fantasy film like this. But it should have bound the viewers with its visual extravaganza. The film makes us remember Sakshal Sreeman Chathunni by Anil Babu.

Comedy by Suraj and Salim Kumar works well. Music by Shaan suits to film but is unimpressive.

Johny Antony’s E Pattanathil Bhootham was expected to release earlier during the school vacation but was postponed due to its pending post production works. The late release may hamper the film in many counts. The film has got every element to entertain the audience but somewhere it got lost in transition.

Johny Antony and his team have taken great effort in building up this two hour forty minute output. Young citizens can get ready to be amused.

Kancheepurathe Kalyanam Movie Audio songs

Starring: Suresh Gopi, Mukesh, Muktha, Anu, Jagadish, Jagathy,
Harisree Asokan, Suraj, Manka Mahesh, Zeenath...
Music Director : Jayachandran
Director: Fazil, Jayakrishna
Producer: Soman Pallat
Lyrics : Vayalar Saratchandra Varma, Rajiv Alunkal

Description:

'Kancheepurathe Kalyanam', by debutant director duo Fazil-Jayakrishnan, is a film that leads you to expect a fun-filled family entertainer. But sadly enough, the film doesn't entertain and even seems stale at places. It appears to be a hotchpotch of many films and represents a genre that was OK for the 1990's. The main problem with the flick is that it lacks originality.

Kalarikkal Achuthankutty (Suresh Gopi) and Pattarumatathil Najeeb (Mukesh) had not only been best of friends, they even ran an event management company jointly until they parted ways. The reason for the parting of ways was that Najeeb married Achuthankutty's sister Athira (Surabhi) and that too without the consent of the family members. From then on Achuthankutty started seeing Najeeb as an enemy. And when Najeeb started his own event management company, named New Friends Event Management Company (Achuthankutty's company was named Friends Event Management Co.), they became business rivals too. Achuthankutty's manager P.M. Premachandran (Harisri Ashokan) and Najeeb's manager C.M. Premachandran (Jagadeesh) too clash with each other just like their masters.

Achuthankutty remains unmarried supposedly because after his sister's elopement with someone from a different religion, he would not get a good alliance. Najeeb decides that since he is responsible for his friend's predicament, he has the moral responsibility to see to it that he gets a suitable bride. Najeeb tries his best to smoothen things out, but Achuthankutty is adamant.

It is at this juncture that both Achuthankutty and Najeeb get to go to Kancheepuram in connection with the marriage of one Meenakshi (Muktha), the daughter of Devanayagi (Zeenath), who owns Meenakshi Silks. Meenakshi is to be married to the son of her maternal uncle, Sreeramalingam Muthaliar (Jagathy Sreekumar). Muthaliar in fact has a selfish motive behind this move; he wants to own the Meenakshi Silks, which would pass on to his son after the marriage. Achuthankutty and Najeeb are to divide the management of the engagement ceremony and the wedding ceremony too between themselves. It's in this connection that Achuthankutty, Najeeb, Athira, P.M. Premachandran and C.M. Premachandran arrive at Kancheepuram. The story takes off from here.

Suresh Gopi doesn't impress us as Achuthankutty. The character doesn't suit him or his image. He has his limitations as an actor. It's high time he chose roles that suit his acting capabilities. Mukesh is good as Najeeb. Harisri Ashokan and Jagadeesh impress us in their usual styles and Jagathy Sreekumar too does the same, though we have seen it all before, in many films. Muktha is OK as Meenakshi, good at times, but rather unimpressive in some scenes. There's nothing much to be said about Surabhi, who plays Athira. Innocent is good as Balakrishnan Nair alias Balaji, who's Achuthankutty's uncle and a still photographer by profession. Politician-turned-actor Rajmohan Unnithan does a different role this time as the village chief. The rest of the cast suit their respective roles.

The technical aspects are all average, while the music doesn't even deserve mention. The main flaws with the film lie in the story, the screenplay, the dialogues and Suresh Gopi's performance. It won't be right to say that the storyline is not interesting or that it doesn't have scope in today's situation. But it has to be said that the scenarist (who has proved it again and again that he still writes his scripts as if he is catering to the audience of the 1980's or early 1990's) and the directors should have taken care to treat the subject better and in accordance with the today's trends. Many directors have clicked at the box office, serving old wine again and again, but packaging it differently each time. Let's hope Fazil and Jayakrishnan take a cue from this.

Doctor Patient Audio Songs

Starring: Jagathy Sreekumar, Jayasurya, Mukesh, Radha Varma
Director: Viswanath
Music Director: Bannet Veetraag

Description:

The story of Dr Patient,is set against a mental hospital to which young and savvy Ruben Isaac (Jayasuriya) comes to work as a doctor. A doctor who had been successful with his patients at his Ooty sanatorium, he employs humanitarian considerations to emerge the favourite of “his patients”, whom he calls as his clients.

Rakhi Devadas(Radha Varma) with a hospital management degree from U.S is the Managing director of this hospital. Her strict ways in dealing with patients often creates clashes with the new doctor. Ruben Isaac, meanwhile is brimming with new thoughts and unconventional ideas, which he implements in the hospital. He shows love and care and offers more freedom to the inmates which itself invites much criticism from the M.D. The movie turns more than funny with the arrival of another person (Mukesh), claiming that he is the original doctor.

The makers could have noted earlier that in this age of innovate story lines and novel scripts, replaying this mistaken identity games which has been done to death in Malayalam, will definitely invite criticisms. Add to that the inane storytelling which even makes you doubtful about whether there existed any real scripts on paper, for the former half of the movie. And so the madness with the lead inmates drags on. And for the silly gags, continue to persist till the interval with the imbecilic routines they started the movie with. It is only in the last half an hour that the film falls back to the track and director tries to show that he can handle a better narrative.

From the synopsis of the thread, you very well could have pointed about its closeness to movies like ''Thalavattam'', but mind it, there is no point of comparison as this offers a bad tasted humour, mostly from the eccentricities of the deranged minds, and filling their mouths with text message wits.

In the acting front Jayasuriya has a different role in hand, but couldn't do any big thing to make it sufferable. Radha Varma is with a plastic face, with hardly any emotions to display. Mukesh and Jagathy are wasted, while Bijukuttan and Anoopchandran are insufferable. Suraj Venjaramoodu tries to bring in some chuckles with limited success.

The only positives of this movie seems to be the cinematography by MJ Radhakrishnan, art direction by Gireesh Menon and the music tracks by Bennet-Vithraag. The former is for the first time cranking the camera for a commercial films, which he manages with flair. The young musicians also have created some soulful melodies, especially the song “Mazhayil” rendered by Hariharan.

Dr Patient in every counts, needing several coats of polish to make it a healthy looking film. A movie that you can forgetfully wait to watch till it arrives on your miniscreen.
